Crowd tracking and monitoring middleware via Map-Reduce

This paper presents the design, implementation, and operation of a novel distributed fault-tolerant middleware. It uses interconnected WSNs that implement Map-Reduce paradigm, consisting several low-cost low-power mini-computers (Raspberry Pi). Specifically, we explain steps for development novice, algorithm which achieves high system availability, focusing on network connectivity. Finally, showcase use proposed based simulated data crowd monitoring in real case scenario, i.e., historical building Greece (M. Hatzidakis' residence).The technical novelty this article lies presenting viable solution sensing without using complex resource-intensive AI structures or image video recognition techniques.
